As part of the first Isle of Wight Biosphere Festival head to Medina Bookshop for the The Figlet launch.
The Figlet Literary Magazine is a new publication founded by Jean G-Owen. Published twice a year, in January and June, this magazine showcases a wide variety of writings such as poems, short stories, interviews, articles, and sketches.
It also features contributions that align with the theme of each issue. The magazine is focused on supporting writers living on the Isle of Wight.
The Naked Figleaf Collective is a community-focused venture founded by Jean G-Owen. Naked Figleaf gives a fig about performing arts, small press publishing, and promoting creative opportunities and events for artists, writers and performers on the Isle of Wight.
The Figlet Issue Two Summer Season 2024 contains work from forty-five IOW writers and illustrators, including twenty submissions on the featured theme “Footprints”.
Where and when
The magazine launches at Medina Bookshop, 50 High Street, Cowes, PO31 7RR on Saturday 29th June between 7-9pm.
