Isle of Wight NHS Trust is holding an open day on Tuesday 12th March for armed forces reservists and anyone who is interested in joining the cadet force adult volunteers.
On the day, representatives from Army, Navy and RAF reservists will be on hand to talk about what it’s like to work as a reservist and the benefits they can bring to employers.
Parker: Find out first hand all about the life of reservists and cadets
Medical Director and the Trust’s Veterans’ Clinical Champion, Steve Parker, said,
“As a veteran aware accredited organisation, we are delighted to be hosting this event where we will be joined by a range of representatives from across the armed forces.
“It is a great opportunity for veterans, members of the public and staff to come along and find out first hand all about the life of reservists and cadets.”
Representatives from the Island’s Army, Sea and RAF cadets will also be at the event to share more about how people can join them. There will also be helicopter simulator for those people who are brave enough to give it a try.
Where and when
The event is taking place on Tuesday 12th March 2024, from 10am to 2pm in the conference room at St Mary’s Hospital, in the main hospital building near the restaurant.
