Isle of Wight music promoter, Alex Simpson, has been in touch with details of an upcoming charity fundraiser.
He runs a monthly Drum and Bass (D&B) night on the Isle of Wight called Pressure and on 10th December will be joining forces with Lane End Downbeat to bring 90’s Jungle D&B legend, DJ Randall, to the Island.
Six year old fighting a brain tumour
There’s a bit more to the night than simply the D&B legend gracing our shores, the night is intended to raise much-needed money to help a six year old girl from the Isle of Wight with a brain tumour.
Alex says,
“This night is special however as all proceeds are going to Sophie’s Fund, a charity set up in aid of a local six year old girl with a brain tumour.
“If we sold all of the tickets we could raise a grand for Sophie and help to make a real difference.”

Tickets for the event are priced at £10.50 and as well as DJ Randall, also representing on the decks will be Mista Weava, Shufflah & Jamluca B2B (Pressure) and bigging up the vibes on the mic, MC Quest.
Alex finished by saying,
“DJ Randall is a real legend of the scene and we’re very excited to be bringing him down to the Island. It’s a chance for people to have a great night out and help Sophie’s fight at the same time.”
