Levels at Alverstone peaked at 20:00 yesterday evening.
Levels at Sandown peaked at 05:00 this morning. Water will remain ponded on low lying land throughout the river valley. Road and footpath flooding may continue.
There will be flooding of Golf Links Road and Moreton Common Road, Sandown. Ditches around Fort Holiday Park will struggle to drain.
The weather is now fairly dry for today (Monday 19/02/2024) and tomorrow (Tuesday 20/02/2024), after which further frontal rain is expected. If rain does affect the area, then levels will rise again.
To reduce flood risk, we are ensuring that water courses remain free of blockages. Avoid walking or driving through flood water.
