After her debut at the Quay Arts in February last year, and appearances as far apart as Brighton, Italy and the Isle of Wight Jazz Festival, Edana returns to her home ground for a special fundraising evening of jazz, Latin and lounge music, to be recorded live.
The year’s been a tough one and Edana’s voice is full of heartbreak, but it’s wiser, richer, more soulful.
Tonight she is joined on stage by a wonderful band of talented musicians including the fabulous sax player, Sarah Bolter, who performed with Edana at the Anthony Minghella tribute concert in Cowes earlier this year as well as Steve Thompson on bass, Andy Strickland on guitar and Quay Arts Director, Mick Smith on piano.
Expect songs of desire and defiance, come dressed up for the camera, and enjoy”¦
