Exhibition of Auntie P’s Work

Copyright: Auntie PYou might recognise the name Auntie P, from a previous posting or if you regularly visit the VentnorBlog Flickr Group.

We heard last week that we’d just missed an exhibition she had at the Apollo Theatre, Pyle Street, Newport.

However, the prints are available to view online, and are still hanging at the theatre, viewable at the next two coffee mornings.

These run on Saturdays from 10am to 12 noon, so make a note in your diary to head for Newport on either 18th November or 2nd December.

Copyright: Auntie PIt’s a brilliant selection from her 6000 odd photos on Flickr and the testimonials on her profile give you an idea of her style:

Auntie P’s diversity and the knack for picking up on subjects that most of us would throw away or walk on, is what draws me to her photostream on a frequent basis.

She captures the most mundane subject in the most interesting way imaginable and somehow spreads that interest to others. HenrysCat

“A brilliant eye for detail and a wide choice of interesting subjects in Auntie P’s shots. She captures the old and new together, sees the small things that make great pictures and makes excellent use of colour. Go through ALL her photos if you have a spare year or 2….you won’t be disappointed!” iwbus

All the prints are for sale and would make fantastic Christmas presents.
