Whilst most of us were tucked up in bed with the heavy rain lashing down against the window panes, staff from Island Roads and their contractors were out and about around the Isle of Wight helping to keep the Island safe.
Island Roads and their contractors responded to 22 separate incidents over the course of 12 hours.
Fallen trees were cleared and gully tankers used to help with flooding/blocked culverts.
Road closures were put in place where necessary and the partially collapsed sea wall in Cowes made safe.
