February Cabinet Meeting Starts Earlier Than Usual

Those wishing to attend the Cabinet meeting next month should note a change to the start time. This in from the council, in their own words. Ed

GavelDue to a high volume of agenda items for the 14 February meeting of Isle of Wight Council’s cabinet, the meeting will now begin at 5pm instead of 6pm.

Among the items due to be considered on the night include the recommendation for the budget and council tax for the 2012/13 financial year.

Agenda published week before
The agenda for the meeting will be published on the council’s website five working days before the meeting is due to be held.

Once the agenda and reports have been published members of the public will be able to submit written questions provided these are received by 5pm on Friday 10 February.

Public welcome to ask questions
Any member of the public who wishes to ask a question on the night will need to be present for the start of the meeting when a period of 15 minutes is available for public questions.

The cabinet will be held in County Hall’s council chamber.
