If you like to get in the festival mood a few days before then Ding Dong Promotions should be able to deliver the goods for you.
Taking place at the Studio in Newport, Ding Dong have managed to pull down from bands from across the water for your pleasure with a local act for support.
All the way from Croydon come three piece, The Tunics, described by NME as “Knitting together the socio-political zeal and foresight of The Reverend with the sweet melodious indie rock’n’roll of Britpoppers The Bluetones, The Tunics wear their fiery, urgent tunes with a brutal honesty and earnestness.”
If you want to try before you buy check out video (below) of The Tunics, who seem to be going down a storm at the moment.
Joining them on stage will also be The Tin Soldiers. Q Magazine says of them, “Chugging guitars, explosive time changes, like Muse playing proper pop songs with Dave Grohl at the volume control. As you can imagine melodies are rife, guitars spin off and drums are given a good kicking, indeed frenetic dancing and weird shapes are often thrown as a result.”
Hailing from Brighton, Hold Fire have already supported the likes of Cage The Elephant, One Night Only and The Days.
We understand that they’ve sharpened their live set and with a successful album recording session, plus a series of gigs and festivals up and down the UK, they’ve honed their sound.
Later in the year they’ll be releasing their debut album, playing in Japan and touring all over the UK.
