If you’re into contemporary art and can cast your mind back a few years, you may remember the excellent iCandi nights in Newport.
The evenings featured a mix of art, music, mixed media and were generally a great cultural night out.
Some of the artists who took part in those events have an exhibition starting this weekend at the Big Wight Space in Newport.
From 2nd March Paul Brown, Kitty Cooper, Mark Dickson, Andrew Pye and James Cooper present an Exhibition of contemporary art, mixed media and photography.
It takes place at New Rembrandt Gallery and runs until 15 March.
Opening event
Tomorrow night (Saturday) sees the opening event take place, with Puzzle Muteson (one of the Island’s most under-rated musicians) and Grickonel playing live.
All are welcome to the opening event which runs from 7-9pm. It should be a good night.
By the way, if you’ve never heard of Puzzle Muteson, why check out this video of him playing with Lunapark last year. It’s about 30 minutes long, so you can have it playing in the background whilst catching up on the latest Isle of Wight news ;-)
