If you feeling the absence of the Ventnor Film Society and are looking for a cinema hit, you might want to make a note in your diary for Tuesday 27 June.
The Anthony Minghella Theatre at Quay Arts will be showing Life Is A Miracle. Starring: Slavko Stimac, Natasa Solak, Vesna Trivalic, Vuk Kostic (all familiar names I know), this Bosnian story develops around a small village, where the Balkan war has shattered lives.
Emir Kuturica offers us an incredibly alive cast and a gripping journey to experiencing the whole range of saturated human emotions.
Whether at peaceful life or at war, sharing the joy of being with friends or bitter taste of parting, the characters in the film are given a fascinating ability to see beauty in every moment of their life.
Bright personalities, they are full of dignity, they are honest and direct in their feelings, and they experience life to the full. Lively motion of camera & beautiful sceneries bring the final touch.
A remarkably colourful film, highly recommend to everybody who loves really good cinema.
Tickets are only £4 and you can get a drink in the bar beforehand too. Film starts at 7.30pm.
