Book now for Steam Railway Proms this summer

The Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra return to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on the afternoon of Saturday 26th July for their 4th Steam Railway Prom.

The programme of light classical and popular music will include some Slavonic Dances by Dvorak, the theme from Jurassic Park, Sullivan’s Pineapple Poll (which includes all the popular tunes from his operettas), the waltz from Murder on the Orient Express, and a selection from Mary Poppins.

Singing and flag waving
The afternoon will conclude with much singing and flag waving with the traditional patriotic proms style finale.

The concert starts at 3pm and is very much a family event with audience participation encouraged. Please bring your own seating.

Trains will be running throughout the day, and the restaurant and barn cafe and bar will be open for refreshments.

Book now
Concert only tickets are £15 adult (with a reduction for Steam Railway members and Orchestra season ticket holders) £6.50 children. Family tickets are also available.

But, why not make more of a day of it and combine the concert with a train ride at the wonderful Isle of Wight Steam Railway and support the Island’s orchestra and heritage railway.

Dogs on leads are welcome.

Full details about the concert and ticket prices can be found on the Railway’s website, where you can also book tickets.
