Finding Ada: Free conference tickets for women and girls in STEM

If you are a woman in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) who wants to develop her career, a business leader or HR exec, an educator or parent, or an advocate or community organiser, this online conference could be just what you are looking for.

The Finding Ada Conference, a fully-online global conference for women in STEM and advocates for gender equality, takes place on 20th-22nd July 2021.

Taking place over three days, there are a variety of talks with live Q&As, interviews and panel discussions on offer.

Who is Ada Lovelace? (click to expand)
Lady Ada King, Countess of Lovelace (aka Ada Lovelace) is often referred to as “the first computer programmer” and “‘the prophet of the computer age”, following her work with Charles Babbage – read more about Ada on the Finding Ada Website.

Three themes
The conference has three themes:

  • Career development: Career advice; professional skills; personal growth.
  • Policy and advocacy: Talent acquisition, retention and promotion; business policy, processes and standards; advocacy strategies.
  • Widening participation: Increasing girls’ interest in STEM; increasing diversity; supporting diverse communities.

Tickets
Organisers have taken the decision to make tickets free, as so many women have been negatively affected by Covid-19.

However if you are able to make a donation in support of both the speakers and the brilliant FindingAda.com project you can do so via GoFundMe.
