Fire crew are once again in attendance at Clarendon Court, Pound Lane, Ventnor this morning (Saturday).
The skylift and one appliance from Newport and the crew and appliance from Ventnor are hosing down hot spots and assessing the situation. Speaking to the fire service yesterday, they said with these modern buildings it can be hard to pinpoint exactly where the hot spots remain because of the cavities.
Broken windows at the block of flats were boarded up yesterday (Friday).
We understand that six families were made homeless due to the fire. More to follow on that shortly.
This is the third day in a row that the fire service have been in attendance at the fire that broke out on Thursday evening.
