First Peace Walk A Success

Thanks to Linda for this write-up from the recent Peace Walk. Ed

PeaceWalkOn Sunday 11th March a group of around twenty people took part in a peace walk in Appley Park.

The first half of the walk was spent in silence, allowing all to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful location.

Organised by Peace Routes
The walk was organised by Peace Routes, and was in keeping with other major peace events taking place in London this month, Free Tibet on the 10th March and a peace meditation in Trafalgar Square set for the 31st March.

This was the first walk organised by Peace Routes, look out for more to follow at other Island locations. For further information and events please visit

What a great idea! Would be lovely to something like this at the end of The Sustainability Road Show on Sunday 25th March. 4.30pm from East Cowes Town Hall. If it’s sunny people can walk along the esplanade and enjoy the sea views :)
