The Cowes / East Cowes floating bridge is currently grounded due to a descending tide.
A foot passenger service has been put in as a replacement.
Car drivers will be out of luck until an estimated 10-11pm when the tide is expected to return, so will have to drive via Newport. OnTheWight understand that there are roadworks on that route to add to the ‘fun’ of the journey.
