The environment Agency has issued two Flood Alerts for the Isle of Wight this morning, classing both of them as, “Flooding is possible. Be prepared.”

20 to 30 millimetres of rain has fallen over the last 6 hours. A heavy rainfall alert is in place until 0600 hours today (1st November). The majority of rain in this event has fallen but river levels will continue to rise, with the peak expected around mid afternoon. Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected.
