The Fort Victoria Foray, held at Fort Victoria Country Park in Yarmouth, is popular with families and a range of activities and displays are available.
The event is organised in partnership by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, the Isle of Wight Council, the West Wight Landscape Partnership and the Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Unit.
Amongst the activities this year are fossil hunting, rock pooling, woodland crafts and a forest school. There will also be walks in the woods and several other exciting activities in the main marquee and on the beach.
The event runs from 10.30am until 4pm and is free. Parking is free but limited, although a free park and ride shuttle bus is also being provided from Golden Hill Fort.
