As part of the forthcoming Minghella Film Festival, a free workshop is being held next week.
The aim of the workshop is to inspire and encourage young filmmakers to take part in the Young Islanders Short Film Competition, as mentioned before on VB.
The free workshop is being led by led by Reg Poerscout-Edgerton CSA (podcast).
A former Medina High School pupil, Reg worked his way up the ladder from runner on Band of Brothers to just completing his work as Casting Director on Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes 2” with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
Knowledgeable tutor
He certainly knows a thing or two about filmmaking and was recently nominated for an Artios award by the Casting Society of America for his work as Casting Director on the first “Sherlock Holmes”.
Not only that, but Reg is also one of the judges on the short film judging panel, along with Richard Curtis CBE, Dominic Minghella and a couple of members of The Misfits TV series!
Book now – it’s next Monday
The full details of the workshop which is being held at Quay Arts Centre are over on Events On The Wight.
Make sure you sign up asap as the workshop is being held on Monday and places are limited.
