The wettest drought in our living memory is continuing to cause problems for events on the Isle of Wight.
We hear that the Appuldurcombe Fair, which was planned for Sunday has been cancelled due to the front lawn being waterlogged.
Rookley’s Gardening Galore, also due to take place on Sunday has been postponed due to waterlogging.
Organisers say that if the sports field dries out sufficiently, it will be held on Sunday 13 May instead.
