Guinness Football Match Record Attempt Cancelled: Party Still On Though

Today was supposed to mark the start of the Guinness World Record Attempt For Longest Football Match.

Waterlogged football pitchPlans to attempt a 60+ hour football match have been thwarted by the heavy rains over the last week or so.

The party still goes on
However, the evening entertainment on Friday and Saturday night are still going ahead this weekend.

There’ll be Karaoke tonight (Friday) and a fancy dress Disco on Saturday night.

The raffle will still go ahead along with other games and the F.A. Cup will be shown live.

Looking on the bright side
It’s great to see the organisers making the best of a bad thing and continuing with the fun this weekend, even if they can’t be playing football for 60 hours.

We’re told that the challenge will take place later in the summer over the August bank holiday weekend.
