In our view, lantern parades are one of the loveliest things to experience on the Island.
From the satisfaction of making them, to the taking part on the night. It’s all great.
The Ventnor Lantern Parade will be taking place on 15th December this year.
Why not take part in the workshops that being held at the Youth Centre on Victoria Street and make your own lantern?
Choice of two workshops
The first workshop is Saturday 3rd December from 11am to 3pm and if you can’t make that, how about Saturday 10th December from 11am to 3pm?
You don’t need any previous experience, lantern-making experts are on hand to show you the ropes and one session is ample time to complete a standard size lantern.
All adults and families are welcome to attend, but no unaccompanied children
under 12.
The cost is just £4 per lantern and this includes a battery light (small extra charge for a large lantern).
