The Studio in Newport is now under new management.
For those who have given it a wide berth over the last couple of years, Warren Bright and Kevin Barclay-Jay, the new owners of The Studio, are keen to welcome you back to what they hope will become the best multi-purpose venue in the heart of Newport.
As well as regular Friday and Saturday night club events, regular Blues and Jazz events take place mid-week, not to mention dance classes, Platform One nights and the venue can even be hired for private parties.
Kev told VB, “Our aim is to be Islands premier venue for music and the arts. its also a great place for private hire events!”
Re-Launch Party Next Week
On Friday 22nd October, Warren and Kevin will be hosting their Studio Re-Launch Party.
Playing live on the night will be a cross section of music from the Isle of Wight including, The Ohmz, Vanzatti, Englane, Hall of Mirrors
Sliding the dials in the DJ booth will be Bestival DJ Competition winner, DJ Maxx Traxx, along with DJ Pushy and the Headfunk boys.
Warren finished by telling us, “We really want the Studio the be known as a multi faceted venue. We will be promoting quality live music, club nights, the arts, dance and comedy.
“We also want all age groups using The Studio. We are at the heart of the Island, behind Newport Bus station and accessible to all. What could be better?”
Tickets for the event are just £5 in advance or £6 on the door.
