PostFest

A weekend of quality Isle of Wight music on offer at PostFest

Ahead of us is yet another sunny weekend on the Isle of Wight and another music festival will open its gates to the public, as the fabulous PostFest returns to Newport this weekend.

This intimate fundraising music festival, which takes place on Fairlee Road – just a stone’s throw from where 50,000 strong Isle of Wight Festival took place last month – offers three days of quality music, a friendly atmosphere and that lovely warm feeling of knowing that the money you paid for your ticket will go towards an Isle of Wight charity.

In its fourth official year
The brainchild of Robert Carr, and held on the land owned by Arthur Reeder (where you can admire his excellent collection of Royal Mail post boxes), PostFest is now in its fourth official year and will be bringing together some of the best Isle of Wight bands and musicians.

The festival always offers a great family friendly atmosphere (kids under 12 go free).

Confirmed lineup
As always, the lineup is fantastic. There are two stages, with the main stage lineup confirmed as follows:

Friday see Goldray headline, with The Almighty Chancers, Cardinal Richelieu, Paul Armfield, Charming, Holly Kirby, Jones, Damien Paul and Band, Jukebox Jazz and The Bear Social all playing live.

Saturday sees Plastic Mermaids headlining, with Signals, Naked Fridays, Weatherkings, Lucid, We Almost Were, All Washed Up, Floella Grace, John Wroath, Duveaux and Nuberryz.

Sunday has BiggTopp headlining with The Ohmz, The Scores, Claydion Connor, Jimmy’s Big Fish, The Nightwatchmen, Nils Mason and the Amazing Pudding, Slomber’s Woke, Rebel and the Hearts, Second Time Around and Jazzy Heath

And there’s more
There’ll be free children’s entertainment, including Ryde Extreme Performers, the New Carnival Company and Huxley Magic.

Once again Vectis Radio will be doing their live broadcast from the site.

You can buy weekend tickets for £20 on the door on Friday, thereafter day tickets are £8 each day.
