Job losses are hard to swallow at any time of the year, but perhaps more so just before Christmas.
Our thoughts go out to those affected by redundancies confirmed by Gurit UK this morning.
The company, a world-leading composite manufacturer, say the job losses are “due to the decline in the Wind Energy market”.
Gurit refused to confirm how many people will be made redundant or how many people they currently employ on the Isle of Wight.
It comes just a week after the news that job losses are also expected at Liz Earle as they enter a consultation period.
