There is plenty on offer at Quay Arts during the May half-term break to entertain kids of all ages”¦.
The week sets off with a Jewellery Workshop (age 9-12 years) on Tuesday 26 & Wednesday 27 May (10am – 2:30pm) @ Jubilee Stores.
The workshop with Rob Fenton and Kelly Yates will enable children to design and create jewellery in copper and silver.
On day one they will experiment with multiple techniques including drawing, sawing, hammering, filing and texturising. Having gained some confidence, the second day will be spent making an item of silver jewellery, a ring, bracelet, a pendant or earrings – for themselves or lucky friends or family Cost: £30.
Clay Day (age 8years+) takes place on Thursday, 28 May @ Jubilee Stores. The class starts at 10am – 2:30pm and costs £13.
Join in and play with clay under the guidance of tutor Dawn Campbell. Work will be fired and ready to collect two weeks after the workshop. Glazing costs an additional £1 per piece.
For some animal magic, kids aged 8 years+ can join artist, Sallie Kneebone on Friday, 29 May between 10am and 2:30pm to create a fairy tale beast in the Grim Tails! Workshop – costs £13.
