This may be the first time you’re reading VentnorBlog. If it is, the rest of this post might not be relevant to you, but if you’re a regular reader and come onto the site at least once a week, then what follows might be of interest to you.
At least one reader, maybe more, have nominated us for two categories in the HantsWeb Awards.
The Hants What Awards you ask?
The Hantsweb Awards celebrate excellence in website design, accessibility and service. The awards are open to any website based in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
We’ve been aware of the awards since 2005, but this is the first time someone has nominated us and so far, we understand that we’ve been nominated for the ‘Local Area’ and ‘Recreation and Tourism’ categories.
Now someone has turned on the tap – it wouldn’t be a bad thing to turn it into a flood.
Given the demographics of the Isle of Wight, we could also fall into the category for best Best Silver Surfer Website (hint hint).
So, if you’re a regular visitor and like what you read, then why not take a couple of minutes out of your weekend and nominate VentnorBlog? The closing date is Sunday 3rd August, but we believe nominations can be made up until the end of the day.
Details you’ll require are:
Nominated Web Address (required) – www.ventnorblog.com
Name of Nominated Website Organisation – VentnorBlog
Website Contact Name (if known) – Simon Perry
Website Contact telephone (if known) – 01983 898777
Website Email (if known) – [email protected]
We’re not sure what the prize is this year, but if it’s the same as last year, £10k worth of Microsoft Enterprise Business advice, then we’ll donate it to a worthy charity or cause on the Wight should we win. If it’s a bottle of champagne – we might just take it home with us!
BTW (By The Way), we could’ve just nominated ourselves, but that’s not what we’re about.
