Our thanks to Graham Reading, who yesterday sent through a series of photos from his royal highness, the Duke of Edinburgh’s tour of the Isle of Wight.
The series starts with the Duke of Edinburgh arriving on the Island and being greeted by Major General Martin White.

Upon arriving for a service at Holy Trinity Cowes, Graham tells OnTheWight a man says to the Duke at the church door that he last shook his hand 54 years ago. The Duke asked where he was from, Perth he says, and Duke makes a gesture, laughs and moves on.

As the Duke leaves a little boy says ‘Grahdad’, and the Duke replies ‘Grandad’. We love the look on his face that Graham captured.
