Historic Ryde Society is looking for volunteers to help celebrate the 175th Birthday of the Royal Victoria Arcade, in Union Street – ‘Royal Victorian Ryde’ will be three days of music and theatre around Ryde, from the 1st to 3rd July.
We also need volunteers to join in the exciting work of creating Ryde’s first museum for over a century.
The Ryde District Heritage Centre is being created underneath the Royal Victoria Arcade, and is opening in a month’s time.
Open meeting
HRS is holding an open meeting about these projects; anyone wishing to find out more should come along to Hotel Ryde Castle on Thursday 9th June, from 7pm.
