Historical Isle of Wight Ceramics Exhibition

The Mediterranean terraced vista that is Ventnor has been the inspirational home to many potters throughout the 20th century, including John Reilly, Ian and Michael Saul, Kim Reilly, Stella Williamson, Pauline Barnden, Tony Bristow and his son, Andrew Bristow.

Pottery Exhibitions: At the end of a rainbowAndrew is still potting at Bonchurch and has been creating ceramics on the shoreline for over 30 years.

The exhibition rooms at Ventnor Botanic Garden therefore is perhaps an appropriate venue to host parallel exhibitions of historical and contemporary Isle of Wight ceramics.

‘At the end of a rainbow . . .’ is an exhibition of historical Isle of Wight ceramic treasures, mainly featuring work from the 20th century in the Canna Room.

Historical Isle of Wight Ceramics ExhibitionDisplays will encompass pottery, text information, photographs and a slideshow which will include pieces from private collections.

The exhibition is open from 10 am to 5 pm, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March. Admission Free.
