Many thanks to VB reader Richard, who wrote to us earlier in the week suggesting that some readers might be in interested in this current planning application by Hover Travel.
Looking through the application, it appears that Hover Travel are applying to extend the service times to 5.45am and 11pm.
This should be welcome news for commuters and Island visitors who prefer the hovercraft to the Fast Cat, but maybe not such good news for those living along the Esplanade.
Hover Travel currently have permission to run the service between 6.30am and 10pm, although the last flight is currently around 8pm, so the permission would be extending it by one hour in the evening and 45 minutes in the morning.
Public consultation closes on the 12th March, comments can be left online at the council Website
