On Tuesday Hovertravel announced they had to switch to a one-craft service, with the outage anticipated to be for two weeks.
Hovertravel Duty Managers, Scott, Terri and Ryan have today announced that the engineering team at Ryde and the team at Griffon Hoverworks worked around the clock to exceed all expectations and turned a two-week absence into just three days.
They say,
“As well thanking them for their exceptional efforts, we must also thank the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) for their welcome assistance and prompt action.
“Now, with a second craft, we have the flexibility to add extra flights and increase our departures up to every 15 minutes to match demand, so we would ask that you check online for the latest availability.
“We would also like to thank our customers for their loyalty and understanding; your support is always more than generous and all of us at Hovertravel are grateful. “
