Earlier in the week, the home of a young family in Ventnor was destroyed after a fire swept through the property, resulting in the family losing everything they own.
The family have been temporarily rehoused by the Red Cross, but in the meantime the Ventnor community is coming together to help the family rebuild their lives.

Ventnor’s Royal British Legion social club have appealed on social media for help. They say.
“We would like to help by offering the club as a collection point for clothes, shoes, household items, toiletries ete.
“At the moment the priority is children’s clothes and shoes, boys ages seven and size 1 1/2 shoes and girls age five, size 12 feet .
“As well as Men’s XXL clothing and size ten shoes.
“Women’s clothes size 14/16 and size six shoes.”
How to donate
They go on to say,
“We are happy to except anything that doesn’t fit this criteria with the view to hold a sale of additional items to raise funds for the family.
“Donations can be dropped off from 11:30am to. 11:30pm each day.”
