Isle of Wight councillor, Richard Quigley (Labour), has thrown down the gauntlet to Isle of Wight Conservative MP, Bob Seely.
Recently referring to Bob Seely as “an arse” because the MP voted against every amendment to the Environment Bill, Cllr Quigley has now publicly announced a challenge for the MP.
Quigley: I will dress in an outfit of his choice for a whole day
He posted the following to social media:
“If @IoWBobSeely votes in favour of the Lord’s amendment on sewage and against the Health and social care bill, I will dress in an outfit of his choice for a whole day and stand outside M&S telling everyone what a hero he is”
Quigley: “I will do everything I can to hold him to account”
Speaking to News OnTheWight, Cllr Quigley added,
“We need an MP that represents the Isle of Wight in Westminster, rather than one that simply represents Westminster on the Island.
“There are some big votes coming up in Parliament that will greatly affect Islanders, this is the first, the next is the Health and Social Care Bill (23rd November).
“Bob needs to know we are watching how he votes and I will do everything I can to hold him to account.”
