In years 7 to 13 and love video games? This Friday (7th Feb) is for you

Are you in years 7 to 13, or know someone who is, and loves video games? You’re going to love an event running 6-8pm this coming Friday (7th February 2025).

It’s at Network Ryde, not too far from the bus station in Ryde.

Retro Gaming Night
Gaz is a youth worker there and L O V E S video games.

He’s putting on a Retro Gaming Night – a chance to play old video games and understand where today’s games came from – Either that or just mash the buttons on the gaming pad and have a good blast.

Old-school knowledge
Gaz has old-school knowledge of things like the button combinations that will give you the advantage of hidden moves on solid-gold classic video games like Street Fighter.

If you don’t already know it, Network Ryde (NR) is run by great people in a newly converted building just near the top of Union Street.

NR is a universal youth service here on the Island, so as long as you’re a young person in school years (7-13) or Home Ed equivalent, you can access their youth service.

All free
It’s all free as it’s funded by Ryde Town Council.

All you have to do is pop in, fill in a form, and then go to whatever sessions you fancy. Free drinks and snacks too!
