As well as the Jazz Festival taking place in Ventnor this weekend, the esplanade will also be welcoming the Vectis Astronomical Society as they take part in the 2nd International Sidewalk Astronomy Night.
The goal of the night is to take telescopes to the public on the same night worldwide, reaching hundreds of thousands of people and uniting amateur astronomers on different continents.
Weather and parking permitted, The Vectis group will be down on the seafront on Saturday night, so why not take a stroll down and have a guided tour of the skies?
The conditions have been perfect all week, so let’s hope they remain that way.
