It’s almost that time of year again, when the general public get a chance to tour around the studios of the Island’s talented artists.
Each year the Council’s Arts Unit and Quay Arts team up to produce the Isle of Wight Arts Directory, a comprehensive guide to artists, galleries and arts events on the Wight including Open Studios.
The dates for the Open Studios have moved this year and will take place over the last two weekends in July.
The split gives you a chance to visit as many of the studios as possible, not having to cram loads into just two days.
If you haven’t got a copy of the directory, you can check out all the info online at the Open Studios Website. It holds listings for all artists taking part, with directions, opening times etc.
The geographic split is as follows:
South & West Wight – Fri 18th – Mon 21st July
West starting at Porchfield, and South starting at Sandown and Apse Heath.
North & East Wight – Fri 25th – Mon 28th July
Boundaries to and including, Gurnard, Newchurch and Arreton.
