A social calendar is published monthly with a variety of social get-togethers hosted by members and the committee. Members are also notified by email of impromptu meals and events.
Calendar events include cinema, theatre, pub nights, bowling, badminton, archery, bike rides various dance classes, quiz nights, swimming, barbecues, picnics and Sunday walks are regular events. In addition, annual dinner dances, Christmas parties, and the Annual family fun day are arranged and hosted by the committee.
Group holidays, weekend breaks and cruises are planned throughout the year and IP’s also holds many fund raising events and support the Isle of Wight Samaritans, the Hospice and other various charities.
IP’s has helped many people over a difficult time in their lives and to others given a new lease of life, and the reason for its long term success is the professional and business like approach used to tie all their activities together by the membership and an elected committee.
