Fahey: It’s 100 per cent a nomination for our team
Tom Fahey from The Terrace told News OnTheWight,

“I’m shocked by the nomination. It’s the Oscars of hospitality. To know that somehow our little Island restaurant has been noticed and recognised alongside the biggest names in the UK almost helps me conquer my imposter syndrome.

“I’m less involved in The Terrace Yarmouth now the hotel and wine [in Ventnor] are flourishing so it’s 100 per cent a nomination for our team who have excelled without me nagging them in person.

“Our four most senior team members have been with us since year one, which is testament to their amazing dedication and talent but also to the kindness and team spirit of our owner, Phil Keen, who works actively in the restaurant every day greeting and serving guests.”

Four days of intense debate
The shortlisting was determined by over 100 judges, experts in the field renowned for their knowledge and past success as Catey winners themselves.

After four days of intense debate, the nominees were carefully considered, and the shortlist for the various categories was announced.
