Join Isabel Ashdown at 70s themed book signing

Book cover:

Waterstones in Newport will be hosting a special 1970s themed night tomorrow (Tuesday) to celebrate the release of Isabel Ashdown‘s third novel, Summer of ’76.

Isabel is a regular visitor to the Isle of Wight (having grown up in the Solent area) and her latest novel is set on the Island during the infamous heatwave summer.

Having just finished our review copy, we can definitely recommend it. The current weather is the perfect accompaniment to the novel, which is packed with great characters and has plenty of tension. The opening scene is at a swingers party in Bembridge!

You can meet Isabel tomorrow (Tuesday 9th July from 6.30pm) to find out more about the inspiration the book.

Feel free to dress in 70s fashion and enjoy 70s themed refreshments.

All ages are welcome and it won’t cost you a penny to get in.

Hopefully it’ll be as hot as the summer of 76 by the time we reach 9th July.
