Hundreds of Islanders on social media networks have paid tribute to six year old Sophie Rolf, who sadly passed away earlier this week after fighting a brain tumour.
OnTheWight reader Mandy Meadows got in touch yesterday saying,
“Would it be a nice idea to wear purple/pink/butterflies on Sunday in celebration of Sophie Rolf’s life.
“As a person who did her bit to help her raise money for the hospice, I would like an opportunity to outwardly show my respect!”
The idea has been embraced by Islanders who have switched their profile pictures to pictures of butterflies.
Kissypuppy lives on
Sophie Rolf touched the hearts of so many people and it’s without doubt that her legacy will live on in the KissyPuppy Fund, working to help other children affected by serious and terminal illness.
If you would like to donate to KissyPuppy, you can do so by visiting the JustGiving page. Over £20,000 has been raised so far.
