Miss 600 are sophisticated, cool, and about to break. Even better, they are providing the late night music in our Festival Marquee on Saturday 20 April.
Slick pop mixed with fluid jazz undertones are the hallmark of this nine-piece combo led by singer-songwriter Hannah Garner and multi-instrumentalist David Amar.
Chris Evans: “These guys are going to be huge”
Their music has already impressed the BBC’s Chris Evans, who says: “Brilliant. Just brilliant. These guys are going to be huge.”
Miss 600’s recently released début album Buying Time showcases their talent includes collaborations with Maxi Priest, Sam Beeton, Sonna Rele and legendary film composer Ennio Morricone.
Amar and Garner met at an open mic night and were spotted gigging around Derby by producers Chris Bucknall (latterly of the Climax Blues Band) and Robert de Fresnes. Their début single, Twist, released in July 2011, spent an extraordinary seven weeks on the BBC Radio 2 A list while also achieving over 3000 plays on UK radio.
