If you’ve had your head in the sand over the last three weeks you won’t have realised that it is Isle of Pink month.
October is the one month in the year when the Isle of Wight goes pink to show it’s support for Breast Cancer Campaign.
There have been many fund-raising events take place in the last three weeks and half term will be no exception.
Isle of Pink Party Walk
Half terms activities start with Isle of Pink Party Walk around the Western Yar on Saturday.
This four mile walk around the estuary offers a wealth of heritage and wildlife sights and ends in a pink party with tea and cake, so remember to bring your party hats and pink outfits.
Where and when
The walk sets off from Yarmouth Institute, Yarmouth at 2pm (registration from 1.30pm) and will cost you £10 for adults and £2.50 under 16’s.
Free foot passenger travel with Wightlink
Wightlink are also offering mainland participants free foot passenger travel from Lymington to Yarmouth making it the perfect event to invite all your family and friends along to.
