As well as National Black History month, October is also the month for raising awareness for the excellent Breast Cancer Campaign.
It’s a sad fact that most of will know someone who has been affected by breast cancer, which accounts for nearly one in three of all cancers in women, which is probably why the Breast Cancer Campaign has gained the support of many Island businesses over the next month.
The Breast Cancer Campaign currently funds 114 projects worth over £14.5 million in 46 locations across the UK.
There are going to be loads of fund and awareness raising events taking place on the Wight during October and we’ll be bringing you more details over the next couple of days, enabling you to take part and support this extremely worthy cause.
