Isle of Wight 2010 Election: Candidate Q&A: National Issue 9: Married Hetros Provide Best Family Environment? This is part of a series of eighteen questions from The Democracy Club asked of the Isle of Wight candidates in the 2010 General Election (background).

National statement nine: A married, heterosexual couple provide the best environment in which to raise a family.

Michael Tarrant  (UK Independence Party – UKIP) strongly agrees
“A proven fact.”




Jill Wareham  (Liberal Democrats) agrees
“There are cases where married couples do not provide the best environment and there are many cases of single parents and same sex families that provide a very good environment”
