The Department for Education has now released the validated A-level results for 2015.
The figures show great improvement for Sandown Bay Academy, which increased from 59% of pupils achieving at least three A levels at A*-E to 72%.
They were joined by Ryde School which also saw a 5% increase from 2014 figures.
Outstanding IW College results
The Isle of Wight College, which has chosen to abandon A-levels from the end of this academic year, saw an increase from 85% to 88% of pupils achieving at least three A levels at A*-E.
All other sixth forms on the Isle of Wight saw a decrease in the number of pupils achieving at least three A levels at A*-E.

The national picture
The Isle of Wight saw 65.5% of pupils achieving at least 3 A levels at A*-E, putting it 13.2% behind the national average for all schools and colleges (78.7%) or 11.7% behind state funded schools and colleges (77.2%).
