The current principal, Joy Ballard, was featured in TV series Educating Cardiff, when she was head teacher. She is the 2015 Headteacher of the year.

‘Geek Club’ fundraise for mental health charity, MIND

Vital donations raised for Roll Out The Barrel charity

Money was raised earlier this year by pupils at Ryde Academy on World Water Day. The donations will help the women and children in Kasozi, Uganda who often have to carry 20kg of water over long distances.
