There are several items on the agenda for the Cabinet meeting tonight that should be of interest many of our readers.
We suspect the one attracting the most attention will be the report by the Cabinet Member for Environment and Transport, Cllr Edward Giles on the future of the Ryde Interchange Gateway (as mentioned on VB last week).
Cllr Giles will also be seeking the go-ahead for a consultation on Coastal Erosion Risk Strategy for the East Yar Fluvial.
Cllr Barry Abraham, the Cabinet Member for Fire and Community Safety will report on the outcome of the consultation for the Fire and Rescue Model for Change Programme.
Whilst Cllr Dawn Cousins, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, Social Care, Public Health and Housing will be presenting a report on the strategy for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people as well as looking at the carers strategy – (links to the documents can be found on the IWC Website).
Members of the public are welcome at the meeting which takes place in Committee Room 1 at County Hall.
If you do go, you’ll get to see this lovely staircase featured in the shot above.
