Following trenches appearing on Ryde beach, the Isle of Wight council commit to filling them up again once the water has stopped flowing.
On Tuesday (13th July), a large channel and formed on Ryde beach.
An Isle of Wight Council spokesperson said,
“The channel has been created by surface water run-off, and with the heavy rainfall that we have been experiencing, has meant that the water is currently still flowing.
“We are monitoring this very closely and once the flow has stopped, arrangements have been made to fill in the trenches/channels that have been created.”
