The Isle of Wight features well in a travel article on the Daily Mail Website this week.
Titled “Railway nostalgia, royal love nests and posh fish: Six things you must do on the Isle of Wight”, the article by Gareth Huw Davies firstly recommends a visit to Ryde; then suggest hopping on a train at the IW Steam Railway or one of the ex-Northern Line rolling stock on the Island Line.
He goes on to rave about Victorian Ventnor (natch) and all the eateries on offer on the seafront.
Then it’s off on a mammoth walk around the Island, before getting romantic at Osborne House, taking in some history at Brading Roman Villa and finally making a visit to Robert Thompson’s Hambrough for some ‘posh fish’.
It’s all good publicity for the Island, so hurrah for Gareth.
Next time he visits, we hope he’ll make use of Events on The Wight to find out what’s happening around the Island.
